Senior Club Champs Doubles/Club Day 2nd April

Hello Senior,

The weather forecast for tomorrow is frankly pretty bad, but things can change! I will be at the club no later than 12:15 p.m. to make a call on whether we try to play or not. If you wish, call the club on 576-5759 after that time for an update on conditions.
Weather cooperating, we have 8 men's pairs, and 5 ladies pairs for the Club Champs Doubles to start play at 1 p.m. Several of the ladies are unavailable for tonight, so we will get in as many rounds as possible tomorrow, again, weather tomorrow, and finish on another day for the ladies.
If the weather is 'wettish', but play can go ahead, we will use the Astro courts, so there may be no courts available for 'Club Day' tennis tomorrow.

Senior Club Champs Men's & Ladies Singles

Hello Senior,

The 2015-16 Club Champs Men's & Ladies Singles will be played on Friday evening/Saturday, 8th/9th April 2016. Friday evening play will be necessary if the entry numbers so require, i.e., to preclude having to play more than 3 matches on Saturday. Players will be advised if they need to play Friday evening once entries close on Wednesday, 6th April.
Both competitive and social grades are available; please be sure to sign up in the category you wish to play in. A signup sheet will be posted on the Senior Bulletin Board in the downstairs lobby at the club this evening.
Juniors of suitable ability are eligible to play in this competition if they wish. If Juniors have questions about whether they are ready for this competition, please see Julia or Jason.
Remember - entry fee of $5.

Midweek Mixed Doubles Championships

Hello Senior,

Just a quick reminder that the Midweek Tennis Group is holding its Mixed Doubles Championships on Tuesday, 29th March (rain day 5th April). This event is pick your own partner.
It's not too late to get in, so either put your names on the sign-up sheet on the Midweek Notice Board, or give Pam a call at 570-0302. More entries would be helpful to ensure the success of this event.

Seniors Doubles Club Champs Postponed

Hello Senior,

Due to the rainout yesterday, the Men's and Ladies Doubles Club Champs are rescheduled to Saturday April 2nd; if necessary due to numbers, some preliminary matches may have to be played on Friday evening, April 1st.
Entries are again open - all previously entered pairs need to reconfirm their availability for the new dates; any new entries need to be either telephoned or e-mailed to Fred (544-5088 or fredkleve@yahoo.com).

Seniors Doubles Club Champs; Courts Availability

Hello Senior,

The Seniors Men's and Ladies Doubles Club Champs will start play at 1 p.m. on Saturday, 19th March. With the current 50/50 weather forecast, it may be that play will only be possible on the Astro courts, which means non-participants will be limited as to court availability for 'Club Day' play.

Also, all courts are reserved for Juniors Club Champs on Sunday, 20th March, so casual play will not be possible until approximately 3 p.m.
