Tennis Waikato-Bays: AGM

As per the Tennis Waikato-Bays Constitution, I wish to advise members that nominations for the position of Elected Board Member of Tennis Waikato-Bays are open and will close on Thursday 6 June at 5.00pm.  Nominations should be made on the attached Nomination Form and returned to Tennis Waikato-Bays office by the due date.  Please circulate as appropriate within your clubs.

There are two positions up for election at the AGM. Both Gavin Cooper (Hawkes Bay) and Steve Napier (BOP) have come to the end of their three-year term. Steve Napier has confirmed that he will not be standing for re-election.

Should you have any questions relating to the nomination process for Elected Board Members, please contact me directly to discuss.

I also advise that Tennis Waikato-Bays is currently advertising for two Appointment Board members as a result of both Delwyn Guilford and Sue Lane's term expiring at the conclusion of the AGM but both are eligible for re-appointment. The Tennis Waikato-Bays Board Appointments Panel will notify clubs of the successful two appointment members around 17 June.

Community Coach Course
This course is open to anyone who would like to begin a coaching career in tennis or would just like some basic skills in tennis coaching. This course is part of the TNZ coach's pathway. Parents, Students, Teachers, Club Volunteers and anyone interested in increasing their Tennis knowledge to help others.

Assistant Junior Coach Course
The TNZ Assistant Junior Coach Course is designed for Secondary school students, Polytech, University, School of Education students, Teachers and Part-time coaches, beginning their coaching career and contemplating a career in tennis coaching.

Otumoetai Tennis CPR Course 7-9pm Wed 3rd July

Otumoetai Tennis Club would like to invite members to attend a St John's CPR course, to be held at the clubrooms from 7-9pm on Wednesday 3 July.

The cost of the course will subsidised by OTC, and will only cost members $10. Places are limited (if there is an overwhelming response, an extra course can be run), so please confirm your place by replying to this email.

WBOP Seniors AGM Presidents report and Homewood tournament

 To all WBOP seniors members,

The TSWBOP AGM was staged on Saturday 18th May at TLTC and attached is the Presidents report which was tabled by Charles Peni.  Not all committee vancancies were filled at the meeting and not all WBOP Tennis Clubs are represented so if you are interested in putting your name forward please contact the TSWBOP Secretary.  The financial report will be issued next week which was presented by Fred Kleve.

The Club Championships Entry Forms will be issued next week with all confirmed dates and venues. Please note the singles date of 16th June is only tentative at this point of time.

Attached is the entry form for the Homewood Park Tennis Club Senior Tournament staged 15th and 16th June, entries close 11th June.

2013 Midweek Tennis Prizegiving

Just a reminder to you all that our Midweek prizegiving is this Tuesday, 21st May 2013, at the clubhouse. If you are attending, can you please bring a plate to share for morning tea, it would be appreciated.

In the event of wet weather and we are unable to play, the mid week morning tea and prize giving will commence at 10.30am on Tuesday
