Courts Unavailable Sunday 17th April

Hello Senior,

The Otumoetai courts are reserved on Sunday, 17th April, for the WBOP Seniors Rep match vs. EBOP/Taupo/Rotorua Seniors.

Courts will be available for casual play after approximately 4 p.m.

Saturday Club Day, Senior Club Champs Singles

Hello Senior,

With the end of Daylight Savings Time, Saturday Club Day tennis will now start at 1 p.m.

Continuation of the Club Champs Singles will be on Friday evening, and finish on Saturday afternoon if needed. The Ladies Singles will be finished on Friday. For the Men's Singles, we will complete the 3 matches in progress on Friday evening, and then have another round, with the final matches probably being played on Saturday afternoon. I will be at the Club from 5 p.m on Friday evening, and would like to get the play started by 5:30 as much as possible.

Senior Club Champs Singles, Saturday Club Day

Hello Senior,

The weather forecast for Saturday is bad, but because of the rapid changes and localized conditions, things may change by then, so we will go ahead as if play will be possible.
The Ladies Singles will be on Saturday.
There are 11 entries for the Men's Singles, so we need to have 3 matches tomorrow evening, starting at 6 p.m. Players who play tomorrow are Victor Hoonhout, Colin McLaren, Paul Ruka, John Petch, Ervin McSweeney and David Ruegg. I will be at the Club from5 tomorrow evening in case the weather arrives early, so you can check at 576-5759 after 5 to ensure play is on.
Assuming the weather is OK on Saturday, there will be courts available for Club Day play. If it is wet, but the Plexicushion courts can't be used, the Singles will take up all of the Astro courts.

Midweek Tennis Group Men's & Ladies Singles

Hello Senior,

Just a quick reminder that the Midweek Tennis Group will hold its Men's & Ladies Singles Championships on Tuesday, 12th April (rain day 19th April). They need a minimum of 4 entries in each competition to justify the event, so get your entries onto the sign-up sheet on the Midweek Notice Board, or call Pam at 570-0302.
The entry fee is $5.
