Club Champs Mixed Doubles Rescheduled

Hello ,

Due to early rain and adverse rain weather map forecasts for the afternoon, our Club Champs Mixed Doubles has been rescheduled to Saturday, 1 March (with play carrying over to Sunday, 2 March, if needed). (Some current entries were not available for play on Sunday, 23 Feb.)
So entries are open again for the Mixed Doubles. All players who had entered for play today are asked to reconfirm their availability for play next Saturday. Please call Fred at 544-5088, or e-mail him at fredkleve2yahoo.com, if you have any questions, to reconfirm availability for play next Saturday, or to enter the competition if not previously entered.

Otumoetai Tennis Senior Club Champs, Club Day

Hello ,

The Club Champs Mixed Doubles will be played tomorrow, 22nd February (and hopefully finished tomorrow, weather cooperating). NOTE - Entries are still OPEN; please call Fred at 544-5088 if you wish to play. Remember that Seniors Club Day will be on Sunday afternoon, 23rd February, this weekend.

Due to a date conflict with a popular tournament that several members will be playing in, the Club has decided to move the Men's/Ladies Doubles Club Champs to 22nd/23rd March (previously 15th/16th March). A sign-up notice for the Doubles will be posted on the Club bulletin board this weekend. It is anticipated that the numbers of entries for this competition will require play on both Saturday and Sunday, so please ensure you availability for both days.

Our more advanced Juniors are welcome to play in these competitions. If you have a question about this, please see your Junior Committee or our Coach, Jason, to confirm whether a junior member should enter these competitions or not.

Otumoetai Tennis: Senior Club Champs

Hello ,

With no calendar yet being 'announced' for the WBOP clubs to hold their Club Champs, we can't wait any longer, and therefore have picked our dates:

Mixed Doubles Club Champs 22nd/23rd February Men's/Ladies Doubles Club Champs 15th/16th March
Men's/Ladies Singles 12th/13th April

These dates are also being used by Tga Lawn, so at least 2 largest WBOP clubs will be consistent. A sign-up sheet for the Mixed Doubles will be posted on our Bulletin Board tomorrow.

Otumoetai Tennis: Interclub/Saturday Tennis

Hello ,

1. Waikato-Bays has (finally) announced the 2014 Twilight Mixed Doubles Interclub competition, with play scheduled to start on Friday, February 14th. So, we need to get teams sorted so that entries can be submitted on Monday, 10th Feb, for a scheduling meeting that evening.

I will post a signup sheet on our bulletin board tomorrow morning, but in reality, if people are interested in playing, please let me know by return e-mail ASAP. And if you have a desired team, please let me know that also. (NOTE: I do have a team from Casey Tarau.)

Please be assured that the 'late communication' issue will be addressed with Waikato-Bays.


2. With our Waitangi Seniors tournament on 6th/7th February, and the Legacy Funerals Juniors tournament on 8th/9th February, the courts will be in use for tournament play the next 4 days.

Those senior members who want to play a 'club day' on Saturday, 8th February, can go to either Tga Lawn or Gate Pa Tennis Clubs for Saturday tennis if they wish.
