2013 NATIONAL TEAMS EVENT This is an Inter-Club Event Host: Tennis Seniors North Harbour We invite all Senior WBOP members to consider entering in the Teams Event which is to be hosted by North Harbour on the 29th to 31st March, 2013 WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: You will need to put your name or team into the selectors by the 15th February as teams must be finalised by the 25th of February. Priority will be given to forming WBOP teams. contact: Sue Jamieson on: 5734337 email: sue.jamieson@hotmail.com                Phil Garden on: 5431422 email:          philgarden@xtra.co.nz TEAM ENTRY – RULES and CONDITIONS: Ownership: The Championships shall be owned by & under the direction and control of Tennis New Zealand Seniors Inc, who may assign all or any rights to the Host Senior Club. Teams Championship: Men's and Women's teams from all Senior Clubs are eligible to compete in the Tournament in the age group for which they qualify. ·        A player must be 35 years of age to compete in the Teams Event. A player shall be eligible to play in an age group to which he/she will attain at any time during that year. This applies from 39 onwards. ·        A player must be a TNZ affiliated member and a current financial member of a Seniors Club and qualify local residential policies. ·        A team consists of 4 players – a maximum of 6 players may be registered in any one team. ·        All players date of birth must be indicated on the entry form. Age Groups:  Men & Women: 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+ A minimum of two teams are required to contest an age group Clubs may enter Age Group Club teams, Combined Club teams, Combined Age Club teams The Organisers reserve the right to divide, amalgamate or otherwise deal with age groups where  there are too many or too few teams, in a a manner which they consider will provide the best standard of competition for all. PLEASE NOTE: ALL teams must enter through the WBOP Selectors There are a few rooms available at a good rate at Quest Hotels Albany where a lot of other players will be staying so get your entry in quickly.  Regards Selectors

OTC Senior Tennis Dates and events

Hello ,

Happy New Year to all, and we hope everyone is ready for the upcoming tennis competitions.

The 2013 Twilight Mixed Doubles competition has been announced. Play will start approximately mid-February and last until the end of April. A playing team for an individual match will be 2 male and 2 female players, with Men's and Ladies doubles matches followed by 2 mixed doubles matches. Team Rosters may consist of up to 8 players. Team Rosters have to be submitted by 1st February, and a signup sheet has been posted on the Club Bulletin Board.

Also, the 2012-13 Club Champs will be played in February and March 2013, starting with the Mixed Doubles on 16th/17th February. The Men's/Ladies Doubles will be played on 16th/17th March, and the Men's/Ladies Singles on 23rd/24th March. A signup sheet for the first event, the Mixed Doubles, has been posted on the Club Bulletin Board.
